The Vision is to make scientific research in medicine, health and overall wellness accessible to students, parents, educators and businesses.
Neurohear is a platform that provides insight for on evidence based practices, medicine and wellness through the perspectives of scientists, clinicians and physicians.
I am a wife, a New Yorker, an immigrant, creator Neurohear and a third year doctoral student in New York City.
Prior to starting my doctorate, I completed my undergraduate studies at Hunter College on a premed track with a Bachelors in Neuroscience and pursued research in neuroscience at The Skirball Institute of Bimolecular Medicine New York University School of Medicine. At NYU, I studied the role of the central auditory system or simply the part of the brain responsible for hearing, in cochlear implant use (a neuroprosthetic device used to restore hearing in those who are profoundly deaf).
I then went on to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore where I worked with a team in exploring how external context triggers latent knowledge in Alzheimer's Disease patients and whether these mechanisms be targeted therapeutically to improve cognition.
Along this journey, my goal is to ultimately utilize neuroscience and audiology to better inform the educational, scientific, and medical community on how to enhance overall communicative wellness and explore how positive experiences with medical professionals dictate brain health and social well being.
